Jesse Lebhar

I got my start in music playing in local bands through high school and into college. I was always the “business-minded” band member, so this is where I first learned the ropes of managing creative projects. I eventually moved on to booking and promoting shows for local and touring artists, including putting together some DIY tours that I tour managed and merchandised on. This led to me helping manage some local bands, and pursuing tour management and merchandise management professionally in 2016.

Over the next three years, I gained a ton of experience touring across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. I’ve worked shows ranging from 100 cap DIY spaces to 5000 cap corporate venues. Along the way I learned the ins and outs of artist management; I managed finances, collected revenues, coordinated activities with labels, agents, lawyers, press, sponsors, contractors and vendors, and developed marketing and touring plans.

I got off the road at the end of 2019, and have focused on managing artists since. I’ve realized, in helping numerous artists take the step from 0 to 1, the value and experience I can bring, particularly through the lens of “project management”.

I believe there is largely a void in support for developing artists who aren’t quite ready for traditional management, and I hope that by opening my consulting practice, I can help more artists achieve their goals and take their art (and business) to the next level.
